In this dark world of uncertainty, Jesus is all men need.
In the book of Philippians, chapter one, verse 21 the apostle Paul uttered this powerful word that had become his certainty:
….For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain…..
One thing is sure! A life without Christ is a wasted life. On the other hand a life in companionship with ” Christ our life” is a fruitful life. Knowing the companionship of Jesus is a glorious life! He said:
I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. ( John 10:9, 10)
If we make Jesus the centre of our lives then we will have complete security and satisfaction. If we make Jesus Christ the centre of our lives then no matter what problems come and attack us we know that everything works together for good. Everything happens for a good reason as we love our saviour, ( Romans 8:28.) We read in the book of Job 1:21 :
“I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Praise the name of the LORD!”
Job was a man who refused to curse God even in the midst of horrendous circumstances and grievous sickness. This was because he knew deep in his heart that everything God had sent to him was for his ultimate good. Actually God never ‘takes from us’ because everything that comes into our lives is allowed by him to ultimately bless us and to make us into his image. When God removes something from us it may seem painful at the time, but if we are people of faith we know that it is sent for a great divine purpose. We know for one thing that every trial brings character into our lives. Our wonderful God is a ‘giving God’ and when we actually receive anything from Him it is an abundant blessing for sure!
Death is coming as a sure certainty for every man woman on the face of this planet. No matter how great, influential, powerful or successful a person may become, the certainty of death lies before him or her. But Jesus defeated death, hell and the grave! If that man or woman has known Christ’s presence and salvation then their destiny is secure. The death that they pass through is nothing more than a peaceful sleep before the resurrection day when we will stand in the kingdom of God. But if that man or woman has not known Jesus Christ as saviour then nothing rises before that person then the fearful prospect of God’s judgement. To each man and woman on the face of this planet there is either the promise of eternal life with Christ Jesus in the kingdom of God or eternal death and hell that awaits Christ rejecting humanity.
My friend, if today you are listening to this audio message or reading this writing, let me assure you that God loves you. He passionately yearns that you receive His Son as your saviour. No matter how religious you are- you still need the salvation of Christ, because the Word of God teaches us that ..”everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard, ( Romans 3:23). And NO MATTER how far and deep you have sinned and departed from God- he waits with open arms to receive you as His son or daughter.

Loving Father God I know that I have fallen far short of your standard in my life and that I stand before you as a sinner. I need to be saved from your judgement of hell. I thank you that Jesus has died and taken the punishment for all my sins on the cross. I ask you now to forgive me and come into my life by the power of your Holy Spirit. Jesus Lord, I call upon you to change me completely. Give me a new nature and a heart that loves you and wants to serve you.

Here are some of God’s promises for you my friend.
Romans 10:12, 13 – there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
1 John 1:8, 9 – we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (New Living Translation.)
